OBJECTIVE: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) may cause various complications including intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Because ICH causes devastating neurologic outcomes, various surgical techniques are attempting to reduce the chances of ICH. More importantly, early detection and proper management of postoperative ICH are indispensable.
