Purpose: Ketogenic diet has been frequently used in the treatment of intractable childhood epilepsy since proven strong antiepileptic effects. Because of prolonged maintenance of high fat diet, long-term side effects of hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis has been concerned, but there are no sufficient data revealing lipid profile from ketogenic diet.
