This study is designed to evaluate the impact of the computer literacy education program offered to Community Health Nurse Practitioners (CHNPs), who are major primary heath care workers in rural area of Korea. Using the Computer Literacy Self- Assessment Guide instrument developed by Oregon Health Sciences University School of Nursing, pre and post education data were collected from 468 CHNPs, who have completed the computer literacy education programs. The study revealed that the level of knowledge in all of the five areas, which included computer knowledge, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email and web surfing, were significantly increased as a result of the education program.
