(A) guide for a manual for family planning workers

보건학과/석사[한글] [영문] Family planning program has become one of the most important governmental concerns since 1962. As a consequence family planning program as a national policy has ever been expanded to control the rapid population growth in Korea. Along with the program developed and expanded the number of family planning workers in growing. For it is necessitated to install means which can ensure quality of services as well as quantity of services provided by the family planning workers for the community. Hence, it has been felt that there should be a manual for family planning workers. So far sporadic efforts seemed to have made to provide the family planning worker with guidance and instructions in their family planning jobs, but not the compiled instruction as a manual. It is an strenuous attempt to offer a guide for more comprehensive manual through scrutinizing existing literatures and materials. To provide an organized reference to techniques, procedures and rescurces for family planning workers except policies which might vary according to communities and institution they are participating at, the guide for a manual discusses following three subjects: 1. Program planning 2. Program implementation including a. clinic services b. home visit c. counseling d. follow-up service e. family planning education f. referral g. record and report 3. Self-evaluation of activities of family planning workers. It has hoped that it would help them more effective, efficient and comprehensive in program planning and implementation, and to evaluate their work by themselves whether they have done properly and satisfactionally or not, and that it is not only used for the family planning workers but also used for other public health workers if some adjustment is made.restrictio
