16RR1 Gahagan Biface 666

From repository (Webb 1996:146): A large chipped blade of semitranslucent flint, found between the femurs of Skeletons 1 and 3, Pit 3, Gahagan Mound. It is well made, very symmetrical, with more oval blade than most, mildly recurving edges, concave base, excellent tip. The large flaking to produce the flat surfaces of the faces is particularly well executed, also fine retouch around the edges. Length is 19.7 cm., greatest width 7 cm.
