의학과/석사[한글] 목적: 본 연구는 완전하게 일측 전정기능이 소실된 환자에서 Galvanic 전정 자극으로 나타나는 안진을 관찰하고 Galvanic 전정 자극의 진단적 가치를 알아보고자 시행하였으며 부가적으로 어떤 부분이 Galvanic 전정 자극에 의해 자극 되는지 알아 보고자 하였다. 재료 및 방법: 수술적 치료로 일측 전정기능이 완전히 소실된 환자 14명을 대상으로 Galvanic 전정 자극을 시행하였으며 자발 안진, 자극 시 안진, 자극 후 안진을 영상 안진 기록기로 관찰하였다. 결과: 전정 기능이 정상인 부위에서는 Galvanic 전정 자극 시 14명 환자 모두에서 음전극 부착부위로 향하는 안진이 관찰되었고 양전극 부착부위로 향하는 자극 후 안진이 관찰되었다. 전정기능이 소실된 부위에서는 14명 환자에서 Galvanic 전정 자극 시 안진을 관찰할 수 없었고 10명(71%)의 환자에서 자극 후 안진을 관찰할 수 있었다. 결론: Galvanic 전정 자극은 전정기능을 평가하고 전정 질환을 진단하는데 매우 유용하다고 생각된다.
