The purpose of this study is to research and evaluate the transfer of Jejoongwon by Chosun government and Dr. Oliver R Avison(魚丕信, 1860-1956). There has been only a few researches about this subject so far. And this article newly covers several themes about the transfer of Jejoongwon with the historical documents of Presbyterian Historical Society, Philadelphia, USA. Jejoongwon was transferred from Chosun government to Presbyterian Church of USA (PCUSA), September 26th, 1894.
