The application of an electric field to a sufficiently insulating dielectric liquid generally produces a unipolar injection which sets the liquid in motion. This electroconvection, as well as its effect on the increase of thermal exchanges are studied in coaxial wire-cylinder geometry.In the absence of forced flow, the two electroconvection regimes (respectively¬¬ dominated by the viscous and inertial effects) are highlighted. The analogy with the plane case makes it possible to estimate the order of magnitude of the characteristic speed of the liquid.
