[[abstract]]This paper uses Altera DE2-70 multimedia development board to set up an embedded real-time image processing platform based on SOPC (System on a Programmable Chip) technology, and that platform is formed by FPGA chip, Nios II soft-core processor, LTM display module and CMOS image sensor module. In the mentioned architecture, this paper uses multiple master-salve architecture to design two image processing hardware accelerator circuits of CMOS Master module and LTM Master module, among them, CMOS Maser module includes multiple image preprocessing circuit, for example, Sobel edge detection, erosion and dilation, etc., and it can speed up the implementation of the image processing step; however, LTM Master module has the capability ...
