What does it mean to be a migrant writer in Italy? In my short article, I explore this meaning through the eyes of a number of female migrant writers from East-Central Europe. The main source are recent interviews in which authors reflect on the value that their experience of migration has for their writing, on the pressure they receive from Italian audience and publishers, on their role in the Italian literary system
