In Ovid’s Metamorphoses the sorrow of Orpheus for the gemina nex of his wife Euridice becomes visible through the metaphor of petrifying (Met X, 64-77).Particular interesting is the net of analogies one can establish between the tragic love story which actors are Oleno and Letea (vv. 68-71), myth difficult to find elsewhere, and the Orpheus and Euridice’s one.Nelle Metamorfosi di Ovidio il dolore di Orfeo per la gemina nex della sposa Euridice viene espresso attraverso la metafora della pietrificazione (met.X,64-77). Di particolare interesse è l’isotopia che sembra possibile istituire tra la tragica storia d’amore della coppia Oleno e Letea ( vv.68-71), un mito di pietrificazione non attestato altrove, e quella di Orfeo e Euridice
