For a few years now, bioimpedance or the impedance that can be found in a biological tissue has been the object of many studies. Thanks to the existence of the Cole-Cole model, a group of cells can be approximated to an electric circuit. From that structure the tissue can be characterized with the response and, therefore, detect a number of pathologies. In this project an impedance spectroscopy system based in the Red Pitaya?s STEMLab board has been designed and developed. The final instrument allows the module and phase of the impedance to be seen in real-time through Matlab.
