Estimativa da gordura corporal de um jogador de voleibol, 1999 a 2018 (Original)

The objective of the study was to determine the fat percentage of a volleyball player from 1999 to 2018 (20 years). The intentional sample of the research was composed by a volleyball player of the Marques Junior study (2015). The fat percentage was established through circumference measurements as determined by McArdle, Katch and Katch (2011). Kruskal Wallis ANOVA detected statistical difference of the fat percentage, H (19) = 49, p = 0,0002. The post hoc Dunn identified a statistical difference of the fat percentage in a comparison: 2000 versus 2009, a difference of -48.63. The Kruskal Wallis ANOVA detected a statistical difference in abdominal circumference in centimeters, H (19) = 57.68, p = 0.0001. The post hoc Dunn identified a statistical difference of abdominal circumference in centimeters in four comparisons - 1999 to 2002 versus 2017 and 2018. The new statistic of Cumming (2014) also identified a statistical difference in the same p value. In conclusion, determining the volleyball player's fat percentage is an important measure because the physical trainer prescribes the type of training based on that data to cause an increase in the player's sporting performance.O objetivo do estudo foi de determinar o percentual de gordura de um jogador de voleibol no período de 1999 a 2018 (20 anos). A amostra intencional da pesquisa foi composta por um jogador de voleibol do estudo de Marques Junior (2015) que praticou diversos modelos de periodização. O percentual de gordura foi estabelecido através das medidas de circunferência conforme as determinações de McArdle, Katch e Katch (2011). A ANOVA de Kruskal Wallis detectou diferença estatística do percentual de gordura, H (19) = 49, p = 0,0002. O post hoc Dunn identificou diferença estatística do percentual de gordura em uma comparação: 2000 versus 2009, diferença de -48,63. A ANOVA de Kruskal Wallis detectou diferença estatística da circunferência abdominal em centímetros, H (19) = 57,68, p = 0,0001. O post hoc Dunn identificou diferença estatística da circunferência abdominal em centímetros em quatro comparações - 1999 a 2002 versus 2017 e 2018. A nova estatística de Cumming (2014) também identificou diferença estatística nas mesmas comparações da significância p. Em conclusão, determinar o percentual de gordura do jogador de voleibol é uma medida importante porque o preparador físico prescreve o tipo de treino embasado nesses dados para causar um incremento no desempenho esportivo desse jogador
