The method and evolution of the critical-editions by Ali Nihat Tarlan

Critical-edition is among the most used apparatuses for the scientific methodology in classical Turkish literature. Ali Nihat Tarlan, one of the founders of the discipline called classical Turkish literature in the Turkish universities, has practiced a few scientific examples of critical- editions. Therefore, to examine his critical-editions and their evolutions, means to examine the evolution of the history of the critical-edition in Turkey, too. In that context, the main subject of this article is to handle all of the critical-editions has done by Ali Nihat Tarlan and accordingly the aim of the article is to reveal the evolution of the method used in those works.
