HUBUNGAN ANTARA USIA DAN INDEKS MASSA TUBUH TERHADAP RISIKO OSTEOARHTRITIS LUTUT PADA LANSIA DI DESA GUNUNGRONGGO TAJINAN MALANG

THE CORRELATION BETWEEN AGE AND MASS INDEX ON OSTEOARTHRITIS KNEE RISK IN ELDERLY IN GUNUNGRONGGO VILLAGE TAJINAN MALANG Azalika Sri Hardina1, Atika Yulianti2, Nungki Marlian Yuliadarwati2 S1 Physiotherapy Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Malang Email: azalikasrihardina@yahoo.com ABSTRACT Background: Elderly will be followed by changes in the shape of muscle tissue which causes a decrease in muscle ability and function of other organs. The decrease in one muscle function can affect the work of other muscles, one of which is a problem for the elderly, namely the weakening of muscles, ligaments, and joints in the knee which results in knee osteoarthritis. Research Method: This study used design an analytic observational with a cross sectional study type. Normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov, correlation test using Spearman-Rho. Used microtoice and scales to mengkur Body Mass Index and Ballotement test, Drawer test, Valgus-varus test, crepitus test to identify the risk of knee osteoarthritis in the elderly. Result: Available 50 respondents with the category of obesity mass index as many as 25 people, 22 people overweight, and normal categories as many as 3 people. While the age range that has a risk of oseoarthritis is 60-74 years as many as 35 people. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between age and body mass index on the risk of knee osteoarthritis in the elderly in Malang Gunungronggo Tajinan village.
