PENDIDIKAN KEAGAMAAN ISLAM BAGI NARAPIDANA DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN KLAS IIA MALANG

Education is the main key to human moral formation. This is in line with the main purpose of Islamic religious education in correctional institutions, namely to be more familiar with Islamic teachings, so that prisoners can improve the quality of faith and devotion to Allah SWT, so that they do not repeat the mistakes that have been made. The purpose of this study was to describe how Islamic religious education activities in Class IIA Women's Prison Malang. This study uses a qualitative approach. The type used is a case study. The research method used in data collection is the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Islamic religious education for prisoners is held in an Islamic boarding school called "an-Nisa" which is located in the Malang Class IIA Women's Prison and is carried out in various forms of scheduled activities. The learning of Islamic religious education includes the material of the Qur'an Hadith, Aqidah Akhlak, SKI, and Fiqh, using a curriculum adapted to the conditions of prisoners, because the level of understanding of their religion is different
