PENGARUH MEDIA VIDEO DALAM PENDIDIKAN SEXUAL ABUSE TERHADAP KETERBUKAAN DIRI PADA ANAK USIA SEKOLAH DASAR

Background: Sexual Abuse that occurs in children is a phenomenon occurring all over the world. Lack of self-disclosure in children regarding the occurrence of sexual abuse makes many cases not revealed. It is because of the fear of the child with what will happen after the child reveals. In addition, a lack of child knowledge about sexual abuse allows children to consider sexual touches to be appropriate. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to see the difference in the influence of video media in the sexual education of self-disclosure in elementary school age children. Method: In this study used a pre-experimental design with a post-test approach. The population in this study is Grade 4 and 5 students at SD Islam Surya Buana (n = 180). Technique sample using purposive sampling obtained the number of samples of the intervention group (n = 30) and the control group (n = 23). Data obtained were analyzed using a Mann Whitney U test. Results: Bivariate analysis result showed that there was no significant difference in the child's self-disclosure between the intervention group and the control group (p = 0,158). Discussion: Although in research results there were no significant differences between intervention groups and control groups, each respondent was expected to still receive proper sexual education according to his age. Because proper knowledge becomes one of the motivating factor in the child's openness. And hopefully given the proper education, the child will be spared from the dangers of sexual abuse.
