PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM AKTIFITAS KOMUNIKASI PEMBERDAYAAN DESA WISATA (Studi Pada Masyarakat Desa Wisata Pujon Kidul, Kecamatan Pujon, Kabupaten Malang)

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of community empowerment that does not carry out the communication process properly, so that community participation in empowerment activities is not optimal. This study aims to determine the level of community participation in empowerment communication activities in the Pujon Kidul tourism village. This research was conducted using descriptive survey research methods. The population and sample in this study were the people of Pujon Kidul who were involved in tourism village management activities. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained is then processed descriptively using mean and standard deviation, and then conclusions are determined. Based on research that has been done, it illustrates that the communication process of empowerment in the Pujon Kidul Tourism Village is carried out through the management of the tourism village. In these management activities, the community is involved in deliberation, discussion, and counseling. Community participation in these activities is carried out by providing information, consultation, making joint decisions, acting together, and giving each other support. The level of community participation in the communication activities of tourism village empowerment in Pujon Kidul is moderate. Based on the level of frequency of respondents participating in empowerment communication activities A total of 32 respondents (59.26%) joined in the medium category, in participation through group communication 35 respondents (64.81%) were in the medium category and in participation through interpersonal communication as many as 28 (51.85%) are in the medium category
