HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI SAKIT INFEKSI MENULAR SEKSUAL (IMS) DENGAN PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN PENULARAN IMS PADA PASANGAN DI UPT PUSKESMAS DINOYO

Background : Sexually transmitted infections is infectious diseases through sexual intercourse. Sexually transmitted infections is a problem of public health through all countries across the advanced state and developing countries. The purpose and research is to find the discovery illness perception of sexual transmitted infections and the behavior of prevention of STI transmission in couples. Methods : The research design of this study used a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. There was 32 patient of STI at Dinoyo Health Center as the sample of this research. The selection of sample used accidental sampling technique. Meanwhile, Fisher’s exact test was used to analyze the data. Result : Finding showsthat 53,1% had a positive perception of STI disease. As a result of 59.4% had agood behavior with the prevention behavior of STI transmission. The results of Fisher's exact test analysis obtained of p value = 0,001 smaller than the significance level of 0.05, so H1 was accepted. Conclution : There is a relationship between the illness perception of STI and STI prevention behavior in couples at the Dinoyo Health Center.
