PENGEMBAGAN PENGELASAN TRANSIENT FLAME DAN STATIC COOLING PADA LAS FCAW ( Flux Cored Arc Welding ) TEHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK DAN STRUKTUR MIKRO

Welding fcaw (flux cored arc welding), which is an electric arc welding with a working process to supply electrodes continuously from a coil. Fcaw (flux cored arc welding) uses powder flux electrodes inside the wire. The granules in the wire core produce fcaw (flux cored arc welding) welding quality which depends on the type of electrode used in welding. Transient flame is a process of giving local heat to the area that is mechanically designed for the welding process, where during welding the heat is given to the area around the weld using a moving heat source which will cause residual stress and distortion. Providing static cooling can minimize residual stress and distortion in steel. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of flame and static transients on mechanical and microstructure properties. The result highest hardness in the welding area at temperature 150OC is 170.27 kg / mm2. The results of the highest impact strength value at a temperature of 250OC worth 4.3278 joule. Microstructure in temperature variations has different properties, this is shown in the results of impact testing. Temperature 150OC was dominated by wedmenstaten ferrite, at temperature 250OC dominated by acicular ferrite properties which made it very tough, while at 350OC the most dominant properties were ferrite, perlite and gf (grain boundary ferite)
