PERENCANAAN PEMBANGUNAN EMBUNG SIKUSIKUAN DESA UUWAN KECAMATAN DUMOGA BARAT KABUPATEN BOLAANG MONGONDOW

The Siku-sikuan retention basin was constructed for providing water for 2.499 inhabitants and 300 ha of rice field. The construction, comprising the design and capacity, was planned to last for 100 years. The steps of the plan consist of 1) data collection of rain in the least 10 years, 2) an examination on the data of rain, 3) the flood calculation of the design, 4) the calculation of water need for 100 years, 5) the simulation of inflow and outflow discharge pond, 6) the dimensional design of the retention basin, and 7) the retention basin’s security check. The data of the rain were obtained from the Regional Hall of Sulawesi. The component design of the building consists of several parts such as effective width of retention basin, dimension of top point, dimension of pool, and front floor. Meanwhile, the security aspect was observed based on 2 conditions i.e. the condition when not flooded and the condition during a flood. Based on the calculation result, the effective width was 47,42 m with top point height of 5.595 m; the water height above the top point was 0,38 m; the pond was designed with Vlugter with value of D=R=L 6,73 m, energy absorber with height of 0,45 m, and front floor with height of 10 m. Meanwhile, the reliability obtained to fulfil the water need reached 85% with annual reliability of 40% and periodic reliability of 83%
