The sugar demand is increasing every year, yet it is not followed by an increase in sugarcane productivity. Mojokerto Regency experienced a decline in sugar cane crop from 77,620 tons to 54,342 tons in 2012-2014. The productivity of sugar cane is influenced by two factors, such as genetic and environmental factors. The low quality of environmental conditions is caused by excessive and continuous use of non-organic fertilizers. The continuous use of non-organic fertilizers causes the soil to change physically and chemically then reduce the production of sugar cane crops.
