STUDI PERENCANAAN PONDASI RAKIT (RAFT FOUNDATION) PADA PROYEK PEMBANGUNAN RUMAH SAKIT GIGI DAN MULUT UNIVERSITAS BRAWIJAYA

A foundation is the base structure functioning to distribute the load of the upper structure building to the hard soil surrounding it. The Dental and Oral Hospital of Brawijaya University (RSGM UB) is the third hospital built by Brawijaya University. Based on the design, the building will use the drill piled foundation. This study aimed to redesign the foundation of the building by using the raft foundation. The results showed that the dimension of the raft foundation was as follows: the Length of L = 59,7 m, the Width of B = 28,9 m, and the Thickness of D = 1 m. The raft foundation was designed to have the depth of Df = 1,8 m. Based on the field test with Mayerhof method, the bearing capacity of net permission was 417,4 KN/m2. The net tension of the raft foundation due to the gravitational load was 100,82 KN/ m2, which was still under the value of bearing capacity. Meanwhile, the analysis showed significant settlement reaching 26,4 cm. It is considered normal due to the big load of the building structure and the raft foundation. The D25 – 150 mm reinforcement was used for the flexible reinforcement in the direction of x axis. Meanwhile, the D22 – 100 mm reinforcement was used for the flexible reinforcement in the direction of Y axis. The shrinkage reinforcement in the direction of X and Y was D16 – 350 mm
