HUBUNGAN KEMATANGAN EMOSI DENGAN AGGRESSIVE DRIVING PADA SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA

The majority of traffic accidents are among adolescents under 17 years of age are resulting from aggressive driving behavior, is it due to the unstable emotional maturity of adolescents which makes teenagers easily provoked and creates big curiosity, so that teens do something without considering the risks posed . The purpose of this study was to find out how the relationship between emotional maturity and aggressive driving in junior high school students. The subjects of this study were 350 students from Nganjuk 4 Junior High School using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this study consisted of two, namely the emotional maturity scale and aggressive driving scale. The data analysis used is the product moment correlation technique with the SPSS 25 program. The results of this study show that there is a significant negative correlation between emotional maturity and aggressive driving with a value of r = -0.636, p = 0,000, r2 = 0.404. So it shows that when the subject has high emotional maturity, the lower the aggressive driving will be
