The investigation of the blue channel of the visual system is very important for different ophthalmologic diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinal diseases, dominant-infantile opticus atrophy, side effects of drugs and intoxications. The acquisition and evaluation of visual evoked potentials (VEP) during isolated blue channel stimulation can offer the potential for an objective investigation of early blue channel damages.
