In 2006 Ramon, Freeman, Haueisen und Schimpf made the case that the spatial structure of the cortex possibly influences the measurable EEG. To prove this thesis they’ve compared the power spectral density (PSD) of the spatial course of the cortex with the PSD of the simulated EEG. The thesis could be proven for the one-dimensional case by analyzing one MRT-Slice of one subject.
