PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN SPAIN: FROM THE STATUTE OF 1928 TILL THE LOGSE.

This article is a historical journey through most relevant legislation on Professional Training en Spain. The starting point is the 1928 Statute, and it runs up until the proclamation of the LOGSE (Organic General law for the Education System). Administrative dependency, the mechanisms behind Professional Training, the definition of Professional Training and its organization and financing, are all analyzed in each period examined. Professional Training in Spain has depended on the Ministry of Labour and on the Ministry of State Education, and later on the Ministries of National Education and of Education and Science. The author considers whether or not such dependence -and the subsequent organizational and financing systems- are appropriate.Este artículo es un recorrido histórico por la legislación más relevante sobre Formación Profesional en España. El punto de partida es el Estatuto de 1928, y se extiende hasta la proclamación de la LOGSE (Ley General Orgánica para el Sistema Educativo). La dependencia administrativa, los mecanismos detrás de la Formación Profesional, la definición de Formación Profesional y su organización y financiación, se analizan en cada período examinado. La formación profesional en España ha dependido del Ministerio de Trabajo y del Ministerio de Educación del Estado, y más tarde de los Ministerios de Educación Nacional y de Educación y Ciencia. El autor considera si dicha dependencia -y los subsiguientes sistemas de organización y financiamiento- son apropiados
