Estudio sobre la utilización de aplicaciones móviles educativas en profesores y alumnos de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. Introducción al uso de Socrative

ICT (information and communication technology) is part of our society and is present in all areas of our everyday life. Therefore, society and technology do not have to be considered as independent entities. The presence of mobile devices in the everyday life of children, teenagers and adults is a reality which can not be denied. It is necessary to explore all their educational potential with the aim to bettering the teaching-learning process and fighting the scientific crisis described in the bibliography. This paper has the aim to examine the use of certain mobile phone applications as educational resources during Mandatory Secondary Education through an empirical study. The results indicate that teachers have interest in applications which can allow them to manage time more efficiently and improve the learning of their students. There is no evidence of the scientific crisis described in the bibliography as the 1st grade students manifest motivation and interest in the Biology and Geology subject. Finally, a proposal has been done for 1st grade focused on using the app Socrative under a constructivist approach.Las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación forman parte de nuestra sociedad y están presentes en todos los ámbitos de nuestra vida cotidiana. Por ello, sociedad y tecnología no deben ser consideradas como entidades independientes. La presencia de los dispositivos móviles en la vida cotidiana de niños, jóvenes y adultos es una realidad innegable. Es necesario explotar todo su potencial educativo con el fin mejorar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje y combatir la actual crisis científica descrita en la bibliografía. El objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido analizar el uso de las aplicaciones móviles educativas como recurso didáctico en la etapa de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, a través de la realización de un estudio empírico. Los resultados han indicado el interés de los profesores por la utilización de aplicaciones móviles educativas que les permitan gestionar el tiempo con más eficiencia y mejorar el aprendizaje de sus alumnos. No se ha evidenciado la existencia de la crisis científica descrita en la bibliografía, los alumnos de 1º de ESO han manifestado estar motivados e interesados por la asignatura de Biología y Geología. Finalmente, se ha realizado una propuesta didáctica para 1º de ESO centrada en la utilización de la aplicación móvil educativa Socrative, bajo un enfoque constructivista
