Dyslexia is one of the most common learning difficulties among students and, around it's diagnosis and psychopedagogical intervention there are multiple and divergent proposals, models, and methods. In this paper we hope to offer a selection and a comparative analysis of those diagnostic methods which are most relevant and effective for its application in cases of dyslexia by professionals. In particular, we will concentrate on analyzing those methods which focus on the written language dimension, as they are related to the field in which the etiological explanations of dyslexia that currently demonstrate more validity and scientific recognition are situated.
