Intervención psicopedagógica en un alumno de primer curso de Educación Primaria con Necesidades Educativas Especiales temporales en lectoescritura.

Basing from the reality observed at the Pre-School and Primary Education Centre in which I did the master’s internship of Psychopedagogy and because of the importance of developing a good learning of reading and writing as a basis for the future knowledge of the students, this thesis aims to investigate, among other things, the processes involved in the acquisition and mastery of literacy to, subsequently, develop a proposal for a psychopedagogy intervention and apply it in a real case. In this sense, firstly, the temporary special educational needs of a child, who is a six-year-old newcomer of a foreign country, will be evaluated and attended. He has been incorporated, by age, to the first course of Primary Education. The student could not speak the language; he had never been to school before and he could not draw, so he presented a significant delay in the area of communication and language if compared him to his classmates. It has been created a progressive and individualized intervention aimed at acquiring the initial literacy which will let him to participate in the teaching and learning process without having communicative limitations and, also, for his school and society integration. Measures will be established to address the socio-emotional needs of the student too, by using inclusive and relational activities. After the six months of the intervention, the results have been very positive, since the student has completed the course reaching the penultimate stage of literacy (syllabic - alphabetic). This thesis is structured from an initial theoretical framework which places the reader for the further explanation of the intervention in literacy.Partiendo de la realidad observada en el Centro de Educación Infantil y Primaria donde he realizado las prácticas del máster de Psicopedagogía y, debido a la importancia de desarrollar un buen aprendizaje de la lectura y la escritura que sirva de base para los futuros conocimientos del alumnado, este trabajo pretende investigar, entre otros aspectos, los procesos que intervienen en la adquisición y el dominio de la lectoescritura para, posteriormente, elaborar una propuesta de intervención psicopedagógica y aplicarla en un caso real. En este sentido, en primer lugar se ha realizado una evaluación y se han atendido las necesidades educativas especiales temporales de un niño de seis años recién llegado del extranjero e incorporado, por edad, al primer curso de Educación Primaria. El alumno no conocía el idioma, no había ido nunca a la escuela y no sabía dibujar, por lo que presentaba un retraso significativo en el área de comunicación y lenguaje respeto a los compañeros de su curso. Se ha diseñado un programa de intervención progresivo e individualizado con el objetivo de proporcionarle herramientas para la adquisición de la alfabetización inicial y para que pueda participar en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje sin limitaciones comunicativas, con lo cual podrá integrarse positivamente en la escuela y, posteriormente, en la sociedad. También se han creado medidas para atender las necesidades socio-afectivas del alumno, a partir de actividades inclusivas y relacionales. Después de los seis meses de intervención, los resultados han sido muy positivos ya que el alumno ha finalizado el curso situándose en una la penúltima fase del proceso de alfabetización (silábica-alfabética).
