In this work we present main results of our work on the synthesis and investigation of novel two-dimensional semiconductor nanocrystals – quantum nanoplatelets. We have demonstrated that they possess various unique optoelectronic properties that are superior to other semiconductor nanoparticles. In addition to that, we developed a series of protocols for the manufacturing of 2D AIIBVI semiconductor nanoheterostructures and a method for controlled organization of NPls into stacks with controlled size.
