In 1995, Ernest Matuschka, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, identified this photograph as Alsenith Medora Smith Fisher (known as Dora) and Orville Fisher, on their homestead near Hazard, Sherman County, Nebraska. From left to right: Aaron Smith (Dora's brother) posed with the mule; Dora (standing); Fred Fisher in the high chair; Walter Dewey in back and Flora Dewey in front; Charles Deweyin back and Milton Fisher seated in front; Orville Fisher. Dora's first husband, Lester Dewey, and daughter, Jessie Dewey, died in 1885. Later the family returned to Marseilles, Illinois
