Cet article décrit les étapes de la mise en place d’un modèle de concurrence régulée (managed care) aux Pays-Bas. Bien que de nombreux changements aient déjà été introduits, beaucoup reste à faire. En ce qui concerne les activités de régulation des assureurs et la mobilité des individus entre différents assureurs, les résultats des réformes ne sont, jusqu’à présent, que modestes.Dans cet article, nous offrons comme piste d’explication le fait que les décideurs hollandais préfèrent éviter une augmentation des coûts tout en se gardant de réduire l’accès aux soins médicaux.
