This article analyses the specialization of hiring channels, which enable to recruit specific applicant profiles. The paper relies on the hypothesis that this specialization is not only produced by job search methods, but also by the type of selection associated to each channel. Two recruitment channels are examined, job advertisements and social networks, in two countries, France and Spain.
