« Centre » and « centrality » are polysemous terms, and their studies would interest numerous sciences and scientific disciplines: geography, history, political sciences, sociology and biology, amongst others. In spite of the importance of these terms, it is still difficult to find a comprehensive definition for them: one of the hypotheses about centres assumes that “all knowledge of the centre is off centre”
