La question de l’islam en Belgique

In Europe, the issue of Muslim population has been apprehended differently by each country, but aIl have tried to find formula which respected differentiation in order to satisfy the demands for equality and reject stigmatisation. In Belgium, in order to resolve the problem of the participation of Muslim population into the public affairs, a special « representation » has been created that serves as a link between population and the State. This creation has been the result of a long time work and search for consensus on behalf of Muslims themselves and by Belgium authorities.
