Uno de los temas recurrentes en los debates sobre desarrollo rural en Mozambique es la existencia y el protagonismo de la llamada agricultura doméstica de subsistencia, también referida como sector familiar. En este artículo nos proponemos cuestionar este concepto a través de una perspectiva histórica que siga los cambios producidos en las zonas rurales del sur de Mozambique, antes, durante y después del colonialismo.
