Foreword

Volume 45 of the ICOFOM Study Series contains materials presented at the 39th symposium of the International Committee for Museology, which was part of the 24th ICOM General Conference held in Milan from July 3 to 9, 2016. The ICOFOM theme this year was The Predatory Museum, a theme which proved to be both provocative and challenging. The interesting results are presented here.
