L’objectif de cet article est de montrer que les campi nomadi attrezzati de Rome constituent un modèle ségrégatif socio-résidentiel spécifique qui s’appuie essentiellement sur trois principes : l’hyper-ségrégation, la « politique de la race » (FOUTEAU ET THIÉRY, 2014) et le dispositif de contrôle. Cela a pour conséquence la séparation des familles roms du reste du corps social, mais également leur subordination et leur mise sous surveillance de la part des autorités publiques. Les campi attrezzati représentent une réalité à part et bien qu’ils aient des points communs avec les ghettos urbains, les townships ou les réserves, ils constituent une forme de ségrégation typique de l’Italie, par ailleurs surnommée le « pays des camps » par le Euro...
