The Bible is full of references to seals, both real items, such as the seals placed on Jeremiah’s deeds of purchase (Jer 32: 11-14), and in a theological and metaphorical sense, particularly in terms of God’s authority (for example, Jb 14:17) or confirmation of grace, the seal of the Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13).
