On the front pages of two periodicals, published in different countries, we find a striking example of the international circulation of images employed to cover the kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh, Jr. The first of these front pages is that of a conventional metropolitan broadsheet newspaper – the Montreal Daily Star for March 3, 1932 (Fig. 1).
