Ladislav Fuks' Short Stories from the 1950s and 1960s

This bachelor's thesis focuses on short stories of Ladislav Fuks that were published in the first decades of his literary activity. Next to the printed books of stories (Mí černovlasí bratři published in 1964, completed already in 1958; Smrt morčete, 1969, proses written between 1953 and 1968) the work focuses on short stories published in magazines (Květen, Věstník židovských náboženských obcí, Židovská ročenka) and short stories deposited in the Museum of Czech Literature where the author's manuscripts can be found. The aim of the thesis is to observe the ontogenesis of Fuks' short stories and his poetics. KEYWORDS: Ladislav Fuks, Short Stories, 1950s, 1960
