Iberoamérica y los cursos en línea abiertos y masivos: un análisis documental

Over the past few years, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) have generated great interest as agents of change in higher education. The immense popularity of these courses has even led many experts in the field to declare them as a disruptive technology that, again, puts the use of technologies in higher education at the center of the debate on teaching and learning. In this way, the most prestigious universities in the world began to join this new project until reaching the Iberoamerican context, at the beginning of 2013, through Miriada X, the first platform in Spanish. In this context, the study presented below analyses all the MOOCs offered during 2015 by this Spanish platform. The results of this documentary analysis show that 88 courses were launched in that context, mainly about Information Science and Economy and Business. The conclusions indicate, among other key elements, the lack of information students have before enrolling in a MOOC regarding how they will learn and how they will be assessed.Durante los últimos años los cursos en línea abiertos y masivos (Massive Open Online Courses o MOOC) han generado un gran interés como agentes de cambio de la educación universitaria. La inmensa popularidad de estos cursos incluso ha llevado a muchos expertos en el ámbito a declararlos como una tecnología disruptiva que pone, de nuevo, en el centro del debate sobre la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, el uso de las tecnologías en la educación superior. De este modo, las universidades más prestigiosas del mundo empezaron a sumarse a este nuevo proyecto hasta llegar al contexto iberoamericano, a comienzos del 2013, a través de Miríada X, la primera plataforma en español. En este contexto, la investigación que se presenta a continuación analiza todos los MOOC ofertados durante el año 2015 a través de esa plataforma española. Los resultados del análisis documental muestran que en, ese contexto, ese año se lanzaron 88 cursos, mayoritariamente de Biblioteconomía y Ciencias de la Información y Economía y Empresa. Las conclusiones señalan, entre otros elementos clave, la desinformación que tienen los estudiantes previa inscripción al curso respeto a cómo aprenderán y cómo serán evaluados
