In this paper, a dynamic power system model is proposed, with the aim to study the interconnection between energy storage (ES) systems such as compressed air energy storage (CAES) and power networks. All features in a power system, e.g., frequency, voltage, current, active and reactive powers, are considered in the model. Furthermore, the dynamic model enable an easy integration of ES models, making it a useful software tool to study the feasibility of ES in providing ancillary services to power networks.
