The existence of a votive deposit implies the voluntary displacement of ritual objects. This is the last act of a larger and more complex process that reflects cultural and socio-economic conditions of the people who attended the sacred place. We will try here to follow this approach through the presentation of a case study, yet unpublished: the votive deposit of Colle Arsiccio di Magione (Perugia), located in central Italy, near the Lake Trasimeno. The excavation was carried out in the 1930s, without stratigraphic methodology .
