La teoría de vigas de Timoshenko TBT y una teoría de alto orden IFSDT son formuladas utilizando las ecuaciones constitutivas no locales de Eringen. Se utilizaron ecuaciones constitutivas en 3D en el modelo IFSDT. Se utilizó una variación del material con el uso de materiales funcionalmente graduados a lo largo del peralte de una viga de sección rectangular.
