Wikipedia is the most used reference resource in the world, but it is biased due to content gaps. The number of articles about women and minoritized (ALAANA & LGBTQ) individuals do not reflect the full gamut of human diversity, even amongst those who clearly meet Wikipedia’s requisite notability standards. With support from the Graduate College and Wikimedia, Rod Library has hosted or supported eight Wikipedia Edit-a-thons aimed at diversifying Wikipedia and improving its quality since Spring 2018. This poster and satellite Edit-a-thon will share the outcomes of these events concurrent with UNI Edits for Diversity: A Wikipedia Edit-a-thon happening at Rod Library
