Stacia Kay Fortune performed a graduate clarinet recital at 6 o’clock in the evening on Friday, February 26, 2016 in Davis Hall at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. The recital was presented in partial fulfillment of a Master of Music in clarinet performance. The program opened with Mozart’s Parto! Ma tu ben Mio, an aria for soprano and clarinet obbligato from La Clemenza di Tito. The second piece on the first half was Claude Debussy’s Premiere Rhapsodie for clarinet and piano. Following intermission, the later part of the twentieth century was explored beginning with Shulamit Ran’s For an Actor: Monologue for Clarinet.
