Eng.)) -- Central University of Technology, Free State, 2017The aim of this investigation is to determine if it would be financially viable to use alternative energy technologies in the heating and cooling of greenhouses that are used to grow temperature-sensitive crops all year round in the central region of South Africa. For the purpose of this study “alternative energy sources/technologies” will refer to technologies that can be used to collect energy directly from the primary source (like the sun, for example).
