The purpose of this paper is to consider about some factors that necessary to develop lessons of literature for fostering students' active transactions. Some discourses on the "self-reflections" in the communities of readers were discussed (Iser, Berger and Luckmann, Lotman, and Bakhtin). And the freshmen's responses to a literary text ('A Circus of Love') was analysed. Their responses to a literary text reflect each life experiences. So, in their responses to other student's responses, not only each identity themes but also their interest to another student's theme were presented.
